Fully Restored
Craftsmen Imperial 5x8" Table Top Side Lever Pilot-style Platen Press
Completely restored to better than factory new condition by Louis Colavecchio (note: Lou has retired from doing press restoration) with brand new wooden feed board and brand new rubber rollers note: This press is designed using the same platen movement technique chosed by Heidelberg when they created the vernable Heidelberg Windmill. Craftsmen apparently felt that copying Heidelberg's engineering principles and using a compound side lever would give them a press that would exceed the quality, impression and overall and capability of the competing Kelsey designs of that era. We agree. for information on this press or one like it. |
